This full-time opportunity spans the 2026–2027 school year, running from August 10, 2026, to May 27, 2027, and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The caseload covers elementary, middle, and high school students, allowing you to make a significant impact across grade levels.
Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher) is required
- Experience instructing students with visual impairments preferred
- Ability to develop and adapt teaching materials and methods as per district standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and service providers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver tailored instruction to meet the needs of visually impaired students at various grade levels
- Conduct both formal and informal student achievement assessments on a regular basis
- Prepare for and actively participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings relevant to your caseload
- Work closely with the educational team to ensure compliance with district requirements and student IEPs
