This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to serve elementary, middle, and high school students for the 2026-2027 school year. The role spans from August 10, 2026, to May 27, 2027, providing continuity and the chance to make meaningful connections and advances in student learning.
Enjoy a steady weekday schedule, working Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours each week. As part of a dedicated team, you will apply your expertise across a diverse caseload, tailoring your teaching and support methods to meet district standards and deliver effective instruction to students with visual impairments.
Key Qualifications:
- State certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher) required
- Experience working with students with visual impairments across elementary, middle, and high school settings preferred
- Strong skills in assessing student achievement using formal and informal testing methods
- Ability to plan and deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals and district protocols
- Experience attending and preparing for ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and accessible instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Conduct regular assessments to track and promote student progress
- Participate in and prepare documentation for ARD meetings and other collaborative planning sessions
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to maximize student support
