What you’ll bring:
- Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI)
- Experience working across multiple grade levels is highly valued
- Familiarity with adapting instructional methods for visually impaired students in line with district guidelines
- Ability to conduct ongoing evaluations of student achievement using both formal and informal assessments
- Confidence in preparing for and participating in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
- Strong communication and organizational skills, ensuring effective collaboration with staff and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering instruction that meets the diverse needs of visually impaired students from elementary through high school
- Developing and modifying materials and teaching strategies to support individual learning objectives
- Administering and interpreting evaluations to promote academic growth
- Actively collaborating with educators, therapists, and support staff across various campuses
- Preparing thoroughly for ARD meetings and contributing meaningfully throughout the process
