Make a difference for students by providing vital support as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired on a full-time contract assignment for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll work with a diverse caseload that spans elementary, middle, and high school levels, empowering students to achieve success. This role is Monday through Friday, offering the opportunity to impact lives in a structured and rewarding setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with visually impaired students across grade levels preferred
- Strong understanding of adaptive teaching strategies and methods per district guidelines
- Ability to conduct both formal and informal assessments of student achievement
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
- Knowledgeable in preparing and participating in ARD meetings
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments
- Adapt and tailor educational content to meet individual learning needs
- Assess student progress through continual evaluations and provide actionable feedback
- Prepare, document, and participate in ARD meetings as required
- Collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers to ensure optimal student outcomes
