Teacher for the Visually Impaired - Fountain, Colorado

Key Qualifications:
- Active TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) certification required
- Experience supporting students with visual impairments, ideally across a range of K–12 and transitional settings
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and conducting thorough evaluations
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage a varied caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine eligibility and develop IEPs tailored to student needs
- Consult and collaborate with general/special education teams to foster accessible learning environments
- Offer recommendations on adaptive materials, classroom modifications, and assistive technology
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Participate in professional development and school/district meetings as needed
This contract role offers scheduling flexibility at 20–25 hours per week, allowing you to make an impact while balancing other commitments. Assignments span K–Adult Transition programs, ensuring meaningful variety in your daily interactions. Onboarding includes required fingerprinting and a virtual or onsite interview format, with decisions typically made within 24–48 hours.
