What We’re Looking For:
- Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification/licensure
- Experience providing direct instruction and services to visually impaired students
- Familiarity with educational evaluations and writing IEPs
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment
- Comfortable navigating both virtual and onsite interview processes
- Willingness to fulfill all school onboarding and fingerprinting requirements
Your Impactful Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments from K through 21 years old
- Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with other educational professionals, including those supporting para support roles
- Travel between schools as assigned within a 20-25 hour workweek
- Liaise with students, families, and district staff to ensure the best possible educational experience
