TVI - Hamilton, GA
Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives as an onsite Teacher for the Visually Impaired in a welcoming school district near Hamilton, GA. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, with the possibility of some pre- or post-planning days. The district is seeking a dedicated professional ready to provide essential support and instruction to learners with visual impairments, helping them access the curriculum and succeed in the classroom.
Your expertise will be matched to an age group and caseload most suited to your experience—a thoughtful placement process determined after your interview, once the district’s caseload numbers are finalized. Demonstrating strong documentation skills is essential, as you’ll be required to maintain daily service logs.
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- In-person (onsite) availability; remote (VOCO) arrangements are not accepted
- Experience as a direct service provider to visually impaired students in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication abilities and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to document and track services accurately and efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored for students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement educational programs supporting access to the general curriculum
- Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt materials and accommodate learning needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to program planning
- Complete daily documentation of services provided
