Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Braille and use of adaptive technology for visually impaired learners
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary education teams
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and modifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with visual impairments in both individual and small group settings
- Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments to inform instructional strategies
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to ensure equitable access to the curriculum
- Recommend and support the use of assistive devices and technologies
- Serve as a resource for families and staff, providing training and ongoing support
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed for social, behavioral, and academic growth
