What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with a Special Education: Blind or Visually Impaired (BVI) endorsement
- Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI), particularly serving K-8 populations
- Strong understanding of supporting students with mild to moderate visual disabilities
- Knowledge of IEP processes and ability to effectively serve as a consultant during meetings
- Comfortable using Zoom for virtual staff meetings and student interactions
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a consulting TVI for IEP teams, bringing expertise to planning and interventions for students with severe vision needs
- Participate in virtual staff meetings and conduct remote consultations with students as needed, ensuring instructional goals are met
- Maintain accurate, timely paperwork required for compliance and student records
- Offer insights and resources to staff and families, supporting best practices in vision education
