Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Pine Island, MN

What you bring:
- Current Minnesota teaching license with Special Education: Blind or Visually Impaired (BVI) endorsement
- Previous experience working with students with mild to moderate vision impairments, preferably in a K-8 setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills for both virtual (Zoom) meetings and written documentation
- Proactive, consultative approach to supporting student growth and educator development
Your responsibilities:
- Serve as a key consultant on IEP teams, contributing to the planning and implementation of educational strategies for visually impaired students
- Complete required paperwork and document progress to ensure compliance and ongoing student success
- Participate in virtual staff meetings and meet directly with students and team members via Zoom
- Offer guidance and resources to teachers and school staff, helping to adapt instructional materials and methods for accessibility
- Support one K-8 charter school known for its commitment to inclusive education since 2005
