Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with a Special Education: Blind or Visually Impaired (BVI) endorsement
- Prior experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired preferred
- Passion for supporting students with mild to moderate visual impairments
- Strong collaborative skills, including comfort with remote (Zoom) participation
- Organizational skills to manage paperwork and contribute meaningfully to IEP teams
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a consultant on IEP teams for students K-8 with vision challenges
- Provide expertise and recommendations during twice-monthly (5 hours each) school visits
- Participate in Zoom staff meetings and student interactions
- Complete required documentation and consultative paperwork
