This position serves a districtwide, itinerant caseload, offering an opportunity to provide essential education and resources across multiple campuses near Katy, TX. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid TVI educator license required
- Experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or in a similar educational setting
- Strong knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive strategies for visually impaired students
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with diverse student populations, families, and educators
- Ability to manage and prioritize a districtwide itinerant caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services for students with visual impairments across the district
- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans
- Assess students’ strengths and needs, adapting materials as necessary to meet IEP goals
- Guide and train classroom staff in accommodations and modifications for students
- Serve as a resource for faculty and families regarding vision services, tools, and techniques
- Maintain timely documentation and data to support student progress and compliance
