Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Braillist in a school setting
- Proficiency instructing high school-aged students with visual impairments
- Strong knowledge of braille instruction methods
- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Open to educators available for immediate start
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction in braille and adaptive technology to visually impaired students
- Collaborate with educational teams to create accessible materials and accommodations
- Assess students’ needs and monitor progress toward IEP goals
- Support inclusion in general education settings and promote independence
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services provided
- Advise and coach other staff on best practices for accessibility and instruction
