Teacher of Visually Impaired - Marlin, WA
Step into a vital role supporting students as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired for the 2026-2027 school year! Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Washington Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure required
- Prior experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired or similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of adaptive technologies, Braille, and accessible instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
- Willingness to travel locally to multiple school sites as part of an itinerant assignment
- Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive classroom settings
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver individualized instruction for students with visual impairments in accordance with IEPs
- Adapt curriculum and materials to ensure accessibility and full participation
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies to promote independence and growth
- Guide and consult with general educators and support staff
- Communicate with families, providing updates and resources for home support
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaborations
