Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

- Proficiency with assistive technology and Braille instruction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service providers
- Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ unique needs
- Assess students’ functional vision and make recommendations for appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Provide direct teaching in Braille, orientation and mobility, and the use of assistive devices and software
- Consult with classroom teachers to adapt materials and environments for accessibility
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs, including measurable goals and progress monitoring
- Support families and caregivers, offering resources and training as needed
- Stay current on best practices, technologies, and policies related to visual impairment education
