1:1 Pediatric 1:1 Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Rochester, Illinois

You’ll work closely with school staff, therapists, and families to facilitate an inclusive learning experience for a visually impaired student, adapting materials and activities to maximize participation and growth. Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Previous experience in a pediatric and/or school-based setting welcomed
- Comfort working 1:1 with students and adapting curriculum to meet unique needs
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and commitment to working on-site, full-time
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized, goal-oriented instruction tailored to a visually impaired student
- Partner with teachers, staff, and the student’s family to develop and adjust IEP goals
- Adapt learning materials and create accessible resources
- Foster a supportive and engaging educational atmosphere
- Maintain accurate records and participate in student progress meetings
