Desired Qualifications and Experience:

- Ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive education
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services for students with visual impairments, both in individual and group settings
- Assess students’ functional vision and learning needs to support academic and social-emotional development
- Collaborate closely with general education staff, special educators, and families to ensure effective instructional strategies and accommodations
- Develop/adapt teaching materials and classroom environments to ensure accessibility for all students
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining comprehensive records and participating in IEP meetings
- Offer guidance and training to staff on best practices and assistive technology for visual impairments
