Teacher of Visually Impaired in Saint Paul, MN

This contract opportunity is designed for a passionate and experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI/BVI) seeking to contribute expertise during Extended School Year (ESY) services. This role supports a dedicated group of learners within a setting designed for students with significant behavioral and physical disabilities, fostering both educational growth and confidence.
Your skills in adaptive instruction, accessibility, and individualized education will play a vital role across one building, serving a manageable caseload of 10-15 students. Work just Monday through Thursday from 8:45am to 12:45pm, allowing you to enjoy work-life balance and focus on each student’s progress. The assignment begins on June 8th and concludes July 16th, making it an ideal short-term commitment for professionals eager to make the most of their summer.
What We Seek:
- Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired/Blind and Visually Impaired (TVI/BVI)
- Prior experience working with school-aged children, especially those with significant behavioral or physical needs
- Strong understanding of adaptive technology, Braille, and accessible learning methods
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with educators, support staff, and families
- Flexibility and resilience in specialized educational settings
