Travel Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | San Antonio, TX | Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year

Position Details
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Openings: 2
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Contract Length: Full 2026–2027 School Year
- Caseload: District-wide, assigned by high school clusters
Responsibilities
- Provide direct vision instruction and support to students with visual impairments

Deliver indirect services, including:
- Consultation with teachers and school staff
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Preparation and adaptation of instructional materials

Conduct evaluations, including:
- Functional Vision Evaluations (FVE)
- Learning Media Assessments (LMA)
- Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Assessments
- Attend and participate in ARD meetings
- Travel between school sites as needed (travel time may be billable based on district guidelines)
Qualifications
- Active Texas TVI certification or eligibility to obtain certification before the start of the assignment
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel throughout the district
