Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience or training in K–12 educational settings
- Proficiency in supporting a range of visual impairments, including the use of braille and assistive technology
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to individual student needs in inclusive or specialized settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and specialized strategies for students with visual impairments
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and service providers to support comprehensive learning
- Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to ensure optimal student outcomes
- Consult on accessibility and adaptive technologies within the school environment
