Location: Easley, SC (Virtual position with telehealth delivery)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to the student’s unique visual needs, focusing on functional skills and academic content adaptation.
- Conduct one hour per week of telehealth sessions to support and enhance learning outcomes for the student.
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists (PT) and occupational therapists (OT) to integrate services effectively and address the student’s overall needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines.
- Utilize assistive technologies and resources to maximize accessibility and independence.
- Monitor progress and communicate regularly with the student’s care team to adjust strategies as needed.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) with experience working in telehealth or virtual settings.
- Experience serving students with physical disabilities and severe needs, including wheelchair users.
