Make a positive impact on students’ educational journeys as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, supporting K-12 learners across multiple York County districts. This contract role will take you on the road as an itinerant instructor, providing critical support and collaborating closely with district professionals to ensure that visually impaired students have equal access to learning.

What you’ll bring:
• Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Demonstrated experience supporting K-12 students, ideally within a school or similar setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with staff, families, and administrators
• Ability to develop, adapt, and implement educational materials for students with varying degrees of visual impairment
• Willingness and ability to travel between school sites within York County
Key responsibilities:
• Deliver direct instruction and support services to visually impaired students across multiple schools
• Work collaboratively with district staff to adapt curriculum and ensure accessibility
• Participate in student evaluations and develop IEPs tailored to individual needs
• Train and consult with school personnel and families on assistive technology and practical classroom strategies
• Advocate for student inclusion and equitable opportunities within the educational setting
