Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | York, Pennsylvania

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired
- Experience providing instruction or support to visually impaired students, preferably in K-12 settings
- Strong communication and organization skills; ability to travel between sites as needed
- Collaborative mindset, working closely with general and special education staff
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide itinerant vision services to K-12 students across several school districts
- Assess students’ needs and adapt curriculum/instructional materials for accessibility
- Offer direct and consultative support in collaboration with district colleagues and families
- Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation
- Serve as a resource to general educators regarding accommodations, assistive technology, and orientation/mobility concepts
- Travel between multiple sites within York County as part of the school schedule
