Key Qualifications:
- Current Florida Professional TVI Licensure required
- Must have a valid OMS Certification (essential for this role)
- Experience with administering educational screenings and assessments
- Background in consultative and direct instruction for K-12 students
- Ability to manage an itinerant schedule, traveling between multiple school sites (approximately 2-3 schools per day)
- Strong organizational skills for handling documentation and compliance
- Previous school-based experience highly preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support to K-12 students with visual impairments both directly and indirectly
- Provide orientation and mobility training to ensure student independence and safety
- Conduct necessary student screenings and ongoing progress assessments
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Maintain accurate records and complete required onboarding and documentation
- Travel to assigned schools (with base at district office) and coordinate consultative visits according to student needs
