This is a full-time contract position running from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a 7.5-hour workday and a flexible, candidate-friendly schedule developed in collaboration with the district.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid Florida TVI professional license and OMS certification (required)
- Testing and screening experience with visually impaired students
- Ability to provide both direct instructional and consultative services
- Strong organizational skills for managing an itinerant caseload across up to 13 schools
- Comfort with some remote (VOCO) service delivery, as well as periodic site visits
- School-based experience is highly valued, but others will be considered
In this role, you’ll:
- Serve approximately 15–20 students (K–12) with blindness or visual impairment across various schools
- Deliver a mix of direct/consultative services based on student needs and district schedule
- Complete student screenings and assessments
- Travel between schools with the district main office as your homebase
- Partner closely with district staff to build a weekly schedule that works for you
- Maintain accurate records and timesheets as part of the district’s credentialing procedure
