Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current Florida TVI License (required)
- OMS (Orientation and Mobility Specialist) Certification (required—must have)
- Experience providing services in schools strongly preferred
- Background in conducting student screenings and assessments
- K-12 visual impairment instructional experience encouraged
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide both direct and consultative services to students across 13 schools (approx. 2-3 per day)
- Manage a caseload of K-12 students, serving around 15–20 students
- Screen and assess students’ needs
- Support and collaborate with educators and staff regarding students’ visual needs
- Participate in required onboarding and credentialing processes
- Collaborate on scheduling to ensure a commute that works for you
