Key Responsibilities:
- Serve a diverse caseload of K-12 students, providing both direct teaching and consultative services
- Complete screenings and assessments for students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans based on students’ needs
- Travel between approximately 2–3 assigned schools per day, supporting around 22 students district-wide
- Collaborate with school teams and families to ensure compliance, access, and student growth
- Maintain documentation and contribute to evaluations and progress reporting
- Offer both in-person and virtual services, with the home base at the district’s main office
- Contribute to a supportive, student-centered team environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) license
- Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) Certification (required)
- Experience working in school-based settings is highly valued
- Strong assessment, testing, and documentation skills
- Ability to organize and adapt in a multi-campus, itinerant role
- K-12 experience with a focus on differentiated instruction
