Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- State Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Previous experience providing 1:1 instruction with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and families
- Strong organizational, communication, and adaptive teaching skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction based on each student’s IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum materials and create accessible classroom resources
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and other related service providers
- Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and regular reporting
- Support and guide families in developing resources for home learning
