Key Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education teacher certification for the visually impaired and a bachelor’s degree (required).
- At least three years of teaching experience, including work in elementary, secondary, or special education settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive resources for the visually impaired, with the capability to train both students and teachers.
- Proficiency in Braille instruction.
- Familiarity with orientation and mobility training (preferred).
- Strong data-driven decision-making, analytical, and communication skills; proven ability to inspire positive change among staff and students.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to balance multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
- Must provide own reliable transportation for daily travel between sites.
- Willingness to complete district credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting.
Your Responsibilities:
