Teacher of Visually Impaired in Burnsville, MN

In this role, you will collaborate closely with educational staff and families, helping empower a student to overcome challenges and experience success in their educational journey. Each session is designed to help meet individualized education plan goals, encouraging development, independence, and confidence.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Background in supporting students with Blindness or Visual Impairment
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and school teams
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive strategies
- Experience delivering direct, in-person services within educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to one student, twice a month for 30-minute sessions
- Assess student needs, monitor progress, and report findings to staff and family
- Develop and implement individualized strategies for vision-related learning challenges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent support and optimal student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records to support IEP compliance and goal attainment
