This full-time contract opportunity, based near Clermont, FL, covers a diverse caseload of approximately 15-20 students across multiple schools. Travel professionals are encouraged to apply given the specialized nature of this rewarding discipline.
With a hybrid service model, you’ll deliver direct in-person support to students several days per week while providing additional services virtually. The district office serves as your “home base,” and schedules are created to accommodate your commuting preferences, making your weekly routine both dynamic and manageable. You’ll join an actively interviewing process beginning 7/21, so timely applicants are prioritized.
Desired Qualifications:
- Florida Professional TVI License, plus active Orientation & Mobility Specialist (OMS) certification
- School-based experience preferred, but not required
- Background in formal student assessments and screenings is essential
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility for itinerant service delivery
- Commitment to both direct instruction and consultative services
Your Role Will Include:
- Managing a caseload of K-12 students split across approximately 13 schools
- Traveling to 2-3 schools per day with homebase at the district’s main office
- Conducting screenings, developing individualized programs, and compiling progress reports
- Providing both in-person and virtual/consultative services
- Collaborating with teams to optimize student learning and independence
