What We're Seeking:
- Professional Florida certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Current Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) certification (Required: application cannot be considered without OMS Cert)
- Testing and screening experience with students is highly desirable
- School-based background preferred, though strong candidates from other settings will be considered
- Comfortable with both consultative and direct instruction models
- Strong organizational skills to manage a varied weekly itinerary across multiple campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instructional and mobility support services to K-12 students with visual impairments
- Conduct screenings and assessments to tailor interventions
- Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff across the district
- Provide monthly consultative services as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation, submitting timesheets weekly as required by district policy
- Participate in a two-part onboarding process in coordination with district administrators
