- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.
- Ability to adapt lessons and materials for a range of visual abilities and learning styles.
Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs and design instructional strategies tailored to their abilities and goals.
- Provide direct instruction in Braille literacy, adaptive technology, orientation and mobility skills, and other curriculum areas as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and family members to support student learning and access.
- Modify curriculum materials and classroom environments to promote participation and success.
- Maintain regular documentation of student progress and communicate updates to relevant team members.
- Advocate for student access and create a positive, adaptive educational setting.
