This full-time contract role starts July 30, 2026, and continues through the academic year, serving diverse learners across approximately six campuses. From supporting homebound students to collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, your impact will shape students’ confidence and independence in and out of the classroom.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid active Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVI) license
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired
- Strong case management and organization skills, especially with changing caseloads
- Familiarity with Braille instruction, adaptive technology, orientation, and mobility concepts
- Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, specialists, and families
- Adaptability to shifting assignments and student needs throughout the school year
Your Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve an itinerant caseload of 12-15 students, including at least three homebound learners, while traveling between multiple campuses during the week
- Assess students’ abilities, develop individualized education plans, and deliver targeted instruction in Braille, assistive technology, and core curriculum
- Provide ongoing training and consultation for staff and family members to support student success
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Adjust services as needed and participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and team collaborations
