Key Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired.
- Ability to develop, adapt, and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs).
- Proficiency in Braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility strategies.
- Strong communication skills to engage families, staff, and students.
- Flexibility to travel between sites as needed.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging instruction tailored for students with visual impairments.
- Assess student needs and progress, updating goals and intervention methods as appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with general and special education staff to ensure accessibility of core curriculum.
- Provide direct instruction in Braille, adaptive technology, and daily living skills.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for visually impaired students and their families.
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
