- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, families, and students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum materials and recommend appropriate assistive technologies to optimize access and learning
- Consult with classroom teachers and other staff to ensure the integration of specialized strategies
- Evaluate student progress and assist with the development of goals and accommodations
- Travel among various sites as needed to meet caseload demands
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
