What you’ll bring to the role:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) is required
- State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Experience working in school settings, preferably in pediatric or 1:1 environments
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with educational teams and families
- A genuine passion for helping visually impaired students reach their full potential
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering individualized instruction and adapting curriculum to meet the student’s specific needs
- Implementing strategies and accommodations to support the student’s academic and social development within the classroom
- Serving as an advocate and resource for vision-related needs, collaborating with other educators and specialists
- Evaluating student progress and maintaining detailed records to track growth and inform instruction
