Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- State Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) credential required
- Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with pediatric and 1:1 instruction
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Adaptability and a positive, student-centered approach
- Open to qualified travel educators in addition to local candidates
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ensuring full access to the curriculum
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals and families
- Adapt teaching materials and classroom environments to meet the unique needs of each student
- Consult with classroom teachers and staff to promote inclusive practices
- Track student progress and maintain accurate, detailed documentation
