What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and current Louisiana DOE Certification, along with certification in teaching students with visual impairments
- At least three years of experience working with elementary, secondary, or special education populations
- Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to use both qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions
- Excellent communication skills, fostering strong relationships with general education staff and inspiring a culture of inclusivity
- Proficiency in Braille and familiarity with assistive technology designed for students with visual impairments
- Orientation and mobility training experience a plus
- Strong sense of professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to excel with competing priorities independently
- Capacity for light physical activity and the flexibility to travel daily between assigned school sites using your own transportation
- Ability to successfully complete background checks, drug screening, and all credentialing requirements
- Commitment to ongoing reciprocal communication with all relevant educational departments
