Qualifications:
- Valid and active Oregon TVI Certification/Licensure required
- Experience supporting students with visual impairments in educational settings
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans for students with varying degrees of visual impairment
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Comfortable with both in-person and virtual instruction
- Knowledge of adapted technology and resources for blind/visually impaired students (preferred)
- Willingness to travel within Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake Counties as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct services, instruction, and assessments for K-12 students who are blind or visually impaired
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to provide access to curriculum and maximize student success
- Develop and update individualized programs, documenting student progress and meeting IEP requirements
- Provide consultation and support regarding accommodations, technology, and instructional materials
- Participate in professional development and outreach to continually enhance expertise and impact
