This full-time, contract position offers a hybrid model—provide direct in-person support to students a few days each week, with the flexibility to offer virtual instruction for the remainder. Travel professionals are highly encouraged to apply, as expertise in TVI and Orientation & Mobility Specialist (OMS) certification is in demand.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Professional TVI License and OMS Certification required
- Strong testing and student screening background
- Experience working with K–12 students; school-based experience highly preferred
- Comfortable servicing multiple schools in an itinerant role (2–3 schools per day)
- Ability to provide both direct and consultative (indirect) services
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized instructional strategies
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Willingness to complete a two-part district onboarding process and necessary documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve approximately 15–20 K–12 students across 13 schools
- Conduct student assessments and screenings to support educational planning
- Deliver direct instruction and consultative services both on-site and virtually
- Travel between schools, using the district office as your home base
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and contribute to IEP processes as required
- Adapt your weekly schedule in partnership with district staff for optimized commuting
