Efficient digital tools—including the TN Pulse IEP management system—streamline documentation while enhancing your ability to participate fully in the IEP process.
Desired experience and skills:
- Current, active DOE certification
- At least five years’ experience as a Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired required for virtual roles
- Proficiency with Braille and a range of assistive technologies
- Familiarity with the Federal Quota program for technology access (preferred)
- Ability to navigate between schools within assigned regions
- Commitment to cooperative and effective IEP planning
- Fingerprint clearance in accordance with policy
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and consultation for K-12+ students with visual impairments
- Guide students’ access to curriculum and technology, including Chromebooks
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs; attend and contribute to meetings
- Travel between assigned school sites, with routes optimized to minimize mileage
