You’ll be entrusted with an itinerant caseload, traveling between geographically clustered schools with assignments tailored to minimize travel time. Caseloads feature a range of general education students and those with multiple disabilities, with responsibilities spanning elementary, middle, and high school populations.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Department of Education certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
- Minimum five years of virtual TVI experience for remote consideration
- Proficiency with Braille and assistive technology is required; knowledge of the Federal Quota program is a strong asset
- Experience conducting and participating in IEP meetings using the TN Pulse platform
- Comfort working with Chromebooks and supporting diverse learning needs
- Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing
Expected Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and consultation based on students’ IEPs
- Navigate a mixed caseload, traveling between assigned schools as needed
- Collaborate with general education and special education teams
