Qualifications:
- Current and active DOE teaching certification
- Proficiency in Braille literacy and implementation
- Experience with assistive technology (bonus for Federal Quota navigation)
- Familiarity with IEP processes and ability to use the TN Pulse platform
- Willingness to travel between campus sites within geographic boundaries
- Ability to clear fingerprinting and meet time-sensitive credentialing needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special instruction and support for visually impaired students across multiple campuses, K-12+
- Collaborate with school staff, participate in IEP meetings, and design/implement effective learning strategies
- Utilize assisted technology, ensuring equitable access and innovative learning approaches
- Balance a caseload comprising both general and multi-disability populations
- Travel between assigned schools as part of a geographically coordinated route
