Ideal candidates enjoy variety and flexibility—caseloads feature both general education students and those in specialized classrooms for learners with additional needs. Qualifications:
- Current and active DOE certification
- At least five years’ experience teaching students with visual impairments (virtual applicants only)
- Proficiency in Braille and assistive technology
- Familiarity with the Federal Quota program (preferred)
- Willingness to travel between multiple school sites within an assigned area
- Experience with collaborative IEP planning and implementation
- Required fingerprint clearance
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and consultation to K-12+ students with visual impairments
- Facilitate student access to curriculum and technologies such as Chromebooks
- Develop, monitor, and participate in IEPs
- Travel to various school sites, with routes designed to minimize drive time
