Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
- Extensive knowledge of instructional strategies and adaptive methodologies for visually impaired students
- Ability to develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Experience conducting both formal and informal student assessments
- Skilled in participating in and preparing for ARD/IEP meetings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to working the duration of this contract, from August 10, 2026, to May 27, 2027
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction across various grade levels, based on students’ unique learning needs
- Modify educational materials and approaches in line with best practices and district standards
- Regularly assess student progress to guide instructional planning
- Prepare for and participate actively in ARD meetings, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families and staff
- Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
