Inspire students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, supporting elementary, middle, and high school classrooms. This contracted role runs full-time for the 2026–2027 school year, Monday through Friday, with 37.5 hours per week. You’ll use your expertise to empower students in the classroom and make a difference every day.
What you’ll bring:
- Active certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher)
- Demonstrated experience working with visually impaired students across varied grade levels
- Strong understanding of a range of both formal and informal assessment tools
- Familiarity with instructional methods for visually impaired learners, tailored to meet district standards
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, students, and families
- Experience leading or participating in ARD meetings preferred
In this position, your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering individualized and group instruction to visually impaired students in elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Developing, implementing, and modifying instruction and materials to support student access to the curriculum
- Conducting regular assessments to evaluate student progress and inform instruction
- Actively participating in ARD meetings and collaborating in the development of IEPs
- Following established district requirements and policies to maintain compliance
