Qualifications:
- Valid and current DOE certification
- Minimum five years of experience as a Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired required for virtual consideration
- Proficient in Braille and a range of assistive technologies
- Knowledge of accessing assistive tech through the Federal Quota program preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel among assigned schools
- Dedicated to collaborative IEP planning and delivery
- Must obtain fingerprint clearance per regulations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and consultation for K-12 students with visual impairments
- Ensure students can access curriculum and technology, including Chromebooks
- Participate proactively in the development and monitoring of IEPs
- Serve multiple school sites within closely situated areas, with travel minimized
