As a valued professional, you will:
- Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to assess and implement assistive technology solutions tailored for individual student needs.
- Evaluate, recommend, and trial adaptive devices and software to optimize student access, communication, and participation in educational activities.
- Deliver ongoing training, support, and consultation to staff and caregivers on the effective use of assistive technologies.
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation on student progress, device usage, and intervention outcomes in accordance with educational policies.
- Serve as a resource for up-to-date best practices, tools, and compliance standards concerning assistive technologies in the school environment.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current, valid California licensure in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
- Degree and/or credentials as required by state agencies for Assistive Technology professionals.
- Demonstrated experience providing AT services within school settings is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage responsibilities across multiple campus locations.
