Make a positive difference as an Assistive Technology Specialist or Occupational Therapist supporting K-12 students at multiple sites in the Norco area. This full-time, contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. You’ll join a cohesive team focused on helping students access their education through innovative assistive technology interventions within school settings.
What You'll Bring:
- Valid California state license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology
- Credentials, degrees, or certifications specific to Assistive Technology as required by California regulations
- Previous experience working in a school-based environment
- Expertise in supporting a diverse K-12 caseload across multiple campuses
- Commitment to collaborative work with educators, families, and fellow specialists
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs for assistive technology supports to enhance learning and participation
- Recommend, implement, and maintain relevant assistive devices and software
- Train students, staff, and families on effective use of technology solutions
- Monitor student progress and document interventions and outcomes
- Collaborate with IEP teams and participate in meetings to develop comprehensive support plans
- Travel between various school sites within the district
