Assistive Technology Specialist Therapist (AT) - San Mateo, California

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education, Educational Technology, Rehabilitation Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as an Assistive Technology Specialist or similar role
- Strong understanding of a range of assistive technology devices and software applications
- Comfortable conducting assessments and tailoring recommendations to individual student needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to train educators, staff, and families on technology usage
- Knowledge of current ADA/Section 504 and IDEA regulations preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments to determine appropriate assistive technology for students
- Develop and implement individualized plans integrating assistive devices and software
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and training for staff and students
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend updates aligned with best practices
- Maintain clear documentation of services delivered and outcomes achieved
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote accessibility across educational programs
